I recently came across an interesting quote about photography, albeit its credited to an unknown author. "I think a photography class should be a requirement in all educational programs because it makes you see the world rather than just look at it." I recently took this unknown authors advice and undertook a photography class here in Broome. It was a half day course and I learnt so much in such a short time that I only regret not doing the course prior to taking my recent trip to Africa. We have recently upgraded our online presence and now have some stunning Kimberley art on line. We still represent Mark Norval, one of the Kimberley's most successful and collectible artists as well as having access to some fantastic Indigenous art.
We currently have 3 rare works online, 2 from Lily Karadada, both circa 2000. If you would like to take a look at these works, you will find them on the third line down of page one in the Wandjina Paintings Catalogue.
The third rare work is from Ashley Oobagooma, one of the Wandjina Artists from Mowanjum. We have a very early abstract work from this artist, the work itself is not unlike the work being done by Elizabeth Duraks alter ego, Eddie Burrup.
However there are many other works of interest on the site and you might like to simply browse our Kimberley Art Catalogue
