2012 Linden Postcard Show
Entries are now being sought for the 2012 Linden Postcard Show. This is an open entry art award with a $5,000 first prize. You can download your entry form here.
The first Linden Postcard Show was held in 1991 as part of the St Kilda Festival. Twenty years later it is still going strong and attracting artists from all over the country. "Until someone proves differently we firmly stand by our claim that the Linden Postcard Show is the largest open entry competition which shows work in all medium in this country and possibly the entire Southern Hemisphere" says Giacomina Pradolin, Director, Linden Centre for Contemporary Arts. "The Postcard Show also gives artists the chance to show and sell their work in a popular exhibition in a major contemporary art space. Visitors love the show as it literally has something for everyone."
This show is Linden's annual fundraising activity for the year with all money raised, through entry fees and sales, going directly towards Linden's exhibition programs. The Postcard Show also gives artists the chance to show and sell their work in a popular exhibition in a major contemporary art space - that visitors love!
The Postcard Show derives its name from the tradition of selecting six works to be reproduced and sold as Linden postcards. All works entered must not be larger than 30cm x 30cm x 30cm.
Entry must be completed by 5pm Monday 21 November 201.
